Former Vice President of Tel Aviv Regional Court, Judge (ret.) Professor Oded Mudrik, referred today (Tuesday) to the ruling of the High Court of Justice (Bagatz) against the demolition of the house of the terrorist who killed the soldier Amit Ben Yigal: “I believe that this ruling protects our lives, and that it is constitutional and completely legal.”

In an interview with Effi Ben Avraham, Mudrik said: “There were similar cases in which the High  Court of Justice approved the demolition of houses. It is crucial to hold an additional discussion in an expanded panel, to establish a uniform legal policy.”

In the event that a similar decision is made in such a discussion, Mudrik said that an overriding clause may be necessary for the Knesset to convey to the public its belief that the law is constitutional and balances different interests.
