Our partner, Adv. Shlomi Bardugo, participated in a panel on “Digital Assets: Regulation, Legal Responsibility and Global Challenges” at the Israel Bar Association’s annual conference, alongside representatives from the judiciary, the capital markets sector, the Israel Money Laundering and Terror Financing Prohibition Authority, and the private sector.

During the discussion, Adv. Bardugo explored the shift taking place in the United States from a model of “Regulation by Enforcement”, largely driven by SEC enforcement actions, towards a legislative approach aimed at establishing a clearer and more predictable regulatory framework for digital assets.

He also addressed the proposed GENIUS Act concerning stablecoins and the CLARITY Act, which seeks to introduce a comprehensive framework for digital asset regulation in the United States.

The panel highlighted the rapid evolution of digital asset regulation and the potential impact of these developments on the Israeli market.
