On August 25, 2020, Amendment No. 6 to the Equal Pay for Men and Women Workers Law, 1996 (the “Law”) was published, which imposes various obligations on employers, starting from June 2022.

The law aims to prevent discrimination between the sexes with regard to wages or any other remuneration in connection with their work.

Amendment No. 6 to the law is intended to provide an additional measure designed to address the issue of the wage gap that exists between men and women in the Israeli labor market.
