Adv. Dana Amir-Fried, Partner in our firm’s Class Action Department, participated in a panel on “Conducting class actions in cases of breaching accessibility laws” in a seminar held by the Israel Bar Association for bar members.

Adv. Amir talked about the unique characteristics of acceptability class actions in view of the fee exemption that applies to filing them and in view of the exceptional possibility to claim compensation without proof of damage.

Adv. Amir also indicated that the option of using the acceptability class action tool is noteworthy but action must be taken to reduce the number of vexatious claims which are being filed in view of fee exemption.
