09.09.2020 | The Attorney General is holding a hearing for MK David Bitan, who is suspected of accepting bribes in the scope of about NIS 1 million; Adv. Sharon Kohane, Partner and Head of the White Collar Department, represents MK Bitan in co-representation.
Further to the news dated August 16, 2020, the hearing procedure took place today prior to submission of an indictment being filed against Bitan, who is suspected of accepting bribes of about NIS 1 million in a variety of instances, as well as fraud and breach of trust in the corruption case of the Rishon Lezion municipality.
We were told by Adv. Sharon Kohane, Partner and Head of the White Collar Department of our firm, Adv. Dror Matityahu and Adv. Ephraim Damari, who are representing MK David Bitan: “We thank the State Attorney’s Office for the opportunity to present our position to them, and we are sure that they will provide us with the time and attention to present our claims.”
