Rabbi Yossi Erblich, chairman of the “Lemaanchem” organization, which provides voluntary medical advice and guidance, received a prestigious international certificate of appreciation from the “We Are Together” project for his contribution to the State of Israel’s response to the Coronavirus.

The award was presented to him at a ceremony held in Moscow, attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin. “We Are Together” is a joint venture of the United Nations, the Red Cross and several international volunteer organizations. This year, the venture directors dedicated the award to international charities that worked for the public good during the pandemic. Together with Rabbi Erblich, there were nominees from thousands of organizations worldwide.

The “Lemaanchem” organization has gained international respect following a long line of projects that promoted the fight against Covid-19, including call centers that helped thousands of families whose loved ones were hospitalized in isolation and vaccinations in yeshivas and Torah institutions conducted together with Ichilov and Sheba hospitals.

Upon winning the award, Rabbi Erblich said: “it is a great privilege for the organization to receive recognition and the respect of an international award, but the greater privilege is to help patients and save lives.”
