Adv. Vered Halperin, Partner in our Real Estate and Urban Renewal Department, was interviewed by Globes regarding the implications of Operation “Am KeLavi” on lease agreements in both the private and commercial real estate sectors.
In the article, Adv. Halperin explains that a key shift is expected due to the fact that most insurance policies do not cover damage resulting from acts of war or hostilities. In such cases, compensation is referred to the Property Tax Authority rather than to insurers, a situation that may give rise to contractual disputes between landlords and tenants and necessitate a reassessment of indemnity and liability clauses in existing and future leases.
