The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) International Court of Arbitration, one of the world’s leading institutions for international arbitration, administers hundreds of cross-border arbitration proceedings each year and remains the most widely used forum for resolving international commercial disputes.
The ICC Rules of Arbitration, which govern proceedings administered by the ICC Court, are among the most widely adopted arbitration rules worldwide.
The new ICC Rules, which entered into force yesterday, apply to all arbitration proceedings commenced under the ICC Rules from that date onwards. According to the ICC, the amendments are primarily intended to enhance the efficiency, flexibility and speed of ICC-administered arbitration proceedings.
