Eyal Roy Sage, Head of Law&Tech at our firm, was hosted at #cyberweek in a panel on Multifocal Privacy Compliance, along with dear colleagues, Odia Kagan, Partner and Chair, #GDPR Compliance & International #Privacy Practice at Fox Rothschild LLP and Dalit Ben-Israel, Partner, Chair #IT & #Data Protection Practice at Naschitz, Brandes, Amir & Co..

Session I: “mul· ti· fo· cal ˌməl-ti-ˈfō-kəl.: “having two or more parts that correct vision at different focal distances : having more than one focal length”

Privacy compliance in multiple jurisdictions takes a lot of planning, and maybe a holistic approach. In this interactive session we will break down the EU, US and Israeli approaches to three hot topics: online trackers, secondary uses of data and AI and will address the unique challenges for each under the three legal regimes as well as how to best go about addressing them all.

Session II: Not Ade-quite-yet: EU Adequacy, the future of enforcement, and GDPR Early intervention

They adequacy me, they adequacy me not. Companies in the US have been grappling with the cross-border uncertainty for years. This may change soon with a potential thumbs up for the EU US DPF but Schrems III is knocking on CJEU’s door.
Meantime Israel has been enjoying a special status – but will that remain in play?

we will address the pressing questions on Privacy Pro’s minds like:
– what are the prospects of US and Israel adequacy?
– How does losing it change the dynamic?
– How will the DPC decision in the Meta cross border case impact companies on both sides of the Atlantic
– What are the cross border enforcement challenges both with EU and Non EU counterparts
– Is GDPR an overachieving 5 yr old or does it need some “early intervention”
– Looking at what the UK is trying to do basically simplifying matters, if we had it to do all over again – what would we do differently in GDPR.3
