עבודתו של אסף מתמקדת בתחומי המימון, דיני החברות, עסקאות מיזוג ורכישה, והיי-טק.
לאורך השנים, נטל אסף חלק בהוצאתן לפועל של עסקאות רבות בעלות פרופיל תקשורתי גבוה, מקומיות ובינלאומיות, בהיקפים גדולים, ובכללן עסקאות מימון מורכבות ורחבות היקף בעולמות הנדל"ן, התעשיה וההייטק, והתחבורה, מהגדולות שנעשו בישראל, וכן עסקאות מכירה ורכישה בתחומי התעשיה, ההייטק, המכשירים הרפואיים, התעשיות הביטחוניות והמזון.
אסף מייעץ לחברות פרטיות וציבוריות, יזמים ואנשי עסקים בקשת רחבה של הליכים תחרותיים, הסכמי רישיון, הסכמי זיכיון והסכמי הפצה, ומלווה מספר תאגידים גדולים בתחומי התשתיות, ההדרכה, והתעשיות הביטחוניות.
לאסף ניסיון במתן ייעוץ משפטי לבתי השקעות, לקרנות פנסיה ולגופים מוסדיים, לרבות בתחומי המימון והרגולציה, ובכלל זה בכתיבת תכניות אכיפה, ניסוח נהלים ושגרות עבודה. בתחום הנפקת ניירות הערך לציבור, נטל אסף חלק בייצוג בעל השליטה בחברה ישראלית אשר הנפיקה מניות לציבור בנאסד"ק, ויצאה בתוך שנה בהצעת רכש ענקית בהיקף של מאות מיליוני דולרים, שביססה את הנפקתה כאחת ההנפקות הישראליות המוצלחות ביותר שנעשו בשוק ההון בארה"ב.
לצד זה, אסף מייצג מספר אושיות וגורמים פעילים בתעשיית הבידור הישראלית, ובהם זמרים, שחקנים, סוכנויות ומשרדי יח"צ, בעסקיהם השוטפים.
