Our Law & Tech Department is at the forefront of legal advice on artificial intelligence. We advise organizations throughout the lifecycle of AI systems – from development and procurement, through deployment and use, to governance, control and oversight. We help build AI-governance frameworks and secondary-use policies; carry out AI risk and impact assessments, including questions of bias, transparency and explainability; advise on the use of Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs) in AI solutions, including anonymization, pseudonymization, data minimization and architectures that reduce exposure of personal data; and support compliance with the evolving AI regulation in Israel and worldwide (including the trajectory of the EU AI Act).
We advise on the intersections between AI and privacy (including the use of personal data to train models), intellectual property (the outputs of generative AI and the use of protected content), and data security and cyber; we draft and negotiate AI agreements and engagements with model and platform providers; and we are experienced in defending legal proceedings, including class actions, concerning the use of personal data and content in AI systems.
